About Us

Tacky Graphix Inc. was a concept created by Steve, John and Travis McKenzie in 2014. Steve and John McKenzie established Motorsports Designs Inc. in 1982 to meet the demand to put screen printed graphics on a large number of the NASCAR teams cars and haulers. Operating successfully from an 800 square foot facility in Jamestown, NC, they built a thriving business. Travis began his journey at a young age, starting with decal weeding and shop assistance, eventually becoming installation manager under John’s guidance. Following the sale of Motorsports Designs Inc. in 2007, Travis went on to pursue both undergraduate and master’s degrees at Appalachian State University. In 2015, Tacky Graphix officially launched, initially offering installation services to graphics companies across the Southeast. Our footprint quickly expanded to encompass projects across the Northern cities, West Coast, and Midwest. Today, equipped with multiple printers, laminators, and a full art staff, we provide comprehensive design, production, and installation services, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our valued clients.
